Banker's Work on Exhibit at Arts on Main for "Paint the Town"

Arts on Main located in historic downtown Gastonia, North Carolina, will exhibit artist Karen Banker's painting "Almost There" in their "Paint the Town Juried Art Show" opening May 11, 2012 running through June 28, 2012. The gallery is open Tuesday-Thursday 11:30-5:30 and Friday-Saturday 11:00-7:00.

Portuguese Gallery Invites Banker to Exhibit in International Solo Show

The Colorida Galleria de Arte (Colorida Gallery of Art) located in the historic center of Lisbon, Portugal, has invited artist Karen Banker to exhibit her work on an international stage in a one woman show opening February 11, 2012 and running through March 2, 2012.

Colorida Galeria de Arte is located by the Castle of São Jorge on the highest hill of the historic centre of Lisbon in a building more than 150 years old. The gallery represents an international group of contemporary artists from countries including Italy, Brazil, France and the U.S. Most of the gallery’s artists have had extensive museum activity, monographs, critical acclaim and important recognition from the international collection community.

The gallery is open Tuesday-Saturday from 1:30pm to 6:00pm and is located at 63 Rua Costa do Castelo, Lisbon, Portugal 1100-335. Their website is www.colorida.pt.

Banker's Work Sold Out at Providence Gallery

All six juried paintings on exhibit at Providence Gallery in the Myers Park area of Charlotte, North Carolina, have sold out. As part of the gallery's annual, juried "Holiday Square Works Show", Banker's paintings from her new "All in a Day" series have been purchased and are no longer available. The exhibit opened December 2, 2011 and runs through January 31, 2012.

Banker Selected for Encore Exhibit

Karen Banker has once again been selected to showcase two of her paintings in an encore presentation of LEDA Artists and Friends at St. Luke's. Banker Selected as One of Four Artists

Artist, Karen Banker, has been selected as one of four regional artists to create an original painting to depict one of the featured goddesses in the upcoming production, "Goddess & The Magdalene", being held July 12th through July 28th, 2007 at the Epic Arts Repertory Theatre in Charlotte, NC. Selected to paint the main character, Mary Magdalene, Banker's painting will be on silent auction during the three-week duration of the performance.
